The director of the research center ascertained whether I had done onsite interviews and data collection, and about what kind of research I planned to undertake during my year in the role. And I received a congratulations email less than a week after that.

Several rounds meeting with different people within the lab followed by a brief writing assessment that I had about 2 days to do. Ended with a meeting with HR telling me that I received the job.
