The interview was so drawn out and repetitive -- I went through 5 rounds of interviews and was ghosted after they told me they were interested in my candidacy and were developing an offer.

Entrevista
The interviewer was quite unprofessional in her attempts to reach out as well as her scheduling process. It’s jarring to think that she was many people’s first interaction with the university - especially with the HUIT department.

There were a lot of questions that were not necessarily standard in my experience with interviews. The last question was about whether or not I had childcare for my toddler. Because I did not, it was a dealbreaker and the person who interviewed ended the call very quickly. In all honesty, I fervently believe that she was looking for something that would be considered a dealbreaker as it wasn’t the first time she mentioned it. But, my current lack of childcare - despite being able to enroll my toddler at any time - was the final dealbreaker of the interview. It honestly left me with a bad taste in my mouth as it pertains to the university as I feel as though my current family situation was used as the reason for my denial and not my current and/or previous experience.

Clear interview process. Transparent Hiring team. I understood the scope of the role and desired skillset. Team was friendly to understand my desired career path as well. I worked in this role for the short term. I interviewed with 3-5 team members.
