A recruiter reached out to me via email and we set up a 30-minute interview for her to get to know me and for me to ask questions about the role. It went really well, and she talked about the interview process and the compensation, which was good. She then set up an interview for me to speak to the hiring manager. He asked common information security questions and about my previous experience. I thought my talk with the hiring manager/security engineering lead went really well and he told me I would hear back from my recruiter within 2 days at most. I did not get a response for days. I then followed up with the recruiter and what I got was an automated message saying that she had left the company and I should talk to the present recruiters. I emailed one of the other recruiters, no response. The other one replied that they would follow up. I even emailed the engineering manager and go no response back. After about 2 weeks I got a message that they had decided to move in another direction. I did not appreciate the ghosting.
