I had a face-to-face first interview, and the person who arranged it was polite and communicative. As part of the process, I was asked to prepare a presentation, which I was happy to do as it allowed me to showcase my thinking and experience.
During the interview itself, however, I felt there was limited two-way discussion. It seemed the interviewers were not very familiar with my background or CV. Much of the time was spent discussing the company’s current challenges, with the interviewer taking notes on my suggestions rather than exploring my skills and experience in depth.
Afterward, I had the opportunity to meet with several team members who were friendly, approachable, and left a positive impression. That said, the overall process did not meet my expectations.
The feedback I received after the interview felt misaligned with our discussion, which left me confused about how my candidacy was evaluated. I was also asked to share a copy of my presentation prior to my interview, which made me somewhat uncomfortable given the outcome.
