It was the messiest interview process of my current job hunt. Necessary information wasn't provided, dates and interviewees were changed last minute. A lot of follow ups were required from my side. I was invited to the next stage and then received generic rejection email about too many candidates - what was even not true, because this position was published again - and it's still on a month after that email.

I was contacted by one of Heap's co-founders, who said my experience would be a good fit for the Marketing team and asked if I wanted to learn more. I replied and said I was interested, and didn't get a response until two weeks later.
He apologized for the delay in his reply and said they were able to fill the role internally and were no longer hiring. Very unprofessional, very negative first impression of the company and of a person who reached out to me first. Felt so bizarre to dangle an opportunity in my face and then immediately pull it back.
