      Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 meses. Fui entrevistado pela Helen of Troy em nov. de 2023

      Entrevista

      Was contacted for an initial phone screen. Then advanced to a zoom with the hiring manager. Midway through the process, I was transferred to their in-house recruiter who would handle things moving forward. The in-house recruiter was pretty informal. She preferred to text or call to have impromptu phone chats. Then invited in to do a panel interview. Told by the recruiter that I was the top candidate and I would hear something in a week’s time (ha!). After 2 weeks, I tried following up. Recruiter said they had a few more interviews to get through but I was still their top choice and was I okay waiting a bit longer. Didn’t realize but they were keeping me warm for their actual top choice. Another month goes by and nothing. I had tried following up with the recruiter twice during that time period and nothing. So I reached out directly to the hiring manager, and what do you know? Recruiter calls me a few hours later to let me know that “she had been trying to reach me for weeks and that the position was offered to someone else.” That’s a pretty bold lie, but okay. I had my phone glued to my side during this entire 3 month process. I received zero calls, zero emails, zero voicemails, zero mail pigeons. Obviously they hired someone else and just didn’t bother to let me know after I spent all that time. Checked on LinkedIn and could see that the person they hired started in December ‘23, but they strung me along until February ‘24. Yikes. 0/10 would not recommend. And I’m so vindicative that I’d never buy anything from the brands within their portfolio. Companies should pay attention to how their applicants are treated during the recruiting process. We’re customers too.
