Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). Fiz uma entrevista na empresa HelloFresh.
Entrevista
Recruiter reached out to me via linkedin. Standard call with recruiter, some questions about experience, what LLM tools are you using, what distributed systems problems have you encountered during you professional work.
Then an interview with hiring manager. One hour. Guy turns on gemini notes at the start and starts asking you questions. Some hypotheticals like "what would you do if somebody came to you with production issue but you would already have a sprint close to release?". Some more typical like "Tell me about a time you had a disagreement with manager and how did you handle it?".
There was a lot of questions and relatively short time to answer for each.
The most ridiculous ones were "I see you've done X on your resume, based on that can you tell how would you design a system Y?" The thing was that system X has little to do with Y. I manged to ask a few clarifying questions about system Y and he told me that we are moving to the next questions. Then again similar question about position A in my resume, and how would I leverage this knowledge to design service B in their application. This types of questions are full blown system design questions for 1 hour interview, not few minutes. Here you are given like 3 minutes for each.
I highly suspect that those were generated by LLM
At the end he asked me about my usage of LLMs at work, and wanted me to share my screen to show him my workflow. Like how would I do that? Share company screen with outsider person? That's illegal. I wanted to share my personal projects but I was on a "replacement" laptop that didn't have any really.
They are putting a lot of weight on LLM usage, I find it kind of funny as this is the skill that even if somebody was lacking he could pick it much quicker than fundamentals.

Entrevista
Der Bewerbungsprozess besteht aus vier Gesprächsrunden, was grundsätzlich sinnvoll ist, um den passenden Kandidaten zu finden. Ich habe dafür auch Verständnis. Dennoch hinterlässt es nach insgesamt rund sechs Wochen, mehrfacher Terminfindung und sogar einem Probekochtermin einen etwas faden Beigeschmack, am Ende lediglich eine kurze Absage per E-Mail zu erhalten.
Abgesehen davon waren alle Gesprächspartner durchweg freundlich, wertschätzend und professionell. Die Atmosphäre war angenehm, und der Austausch auf Augenhöhe.
Trotz der Länge und Intensität des Prozesses würde ich mich bei einer passenden zukünftigen Position erneut bewerben, da der Gesamteindruck des Teams und des Unternehmens positiv war.

The interview was easy enough for me cause every question was the basic question. If you have a solid foundation in programing you will surely crack it. Go for it.
