After an exhaustive game of phone tag, the Director of Food and Beverage scheduled an interview with me where I was to meet with him as well as the Manager of F&B...I show up for my interview only to be greeted by the assistant manager who informed me that both director/manager were not available and he would be conducting the interview himself...I found this highly unprofessional and disappointing. After my 5 minute interview (if you want to call it that) I was told I would be contacted in two days...I never heard any word. I called a few times and no response. I felt like I had completely wasted my time and I was very unhappy with how I was treated, especially considering that the Director had expressed great interest in me and told me I would be starting in a few weeks (before I even scheduled an interview). I do not mind being denied a position, however, I do mind being "led on" to believe that the job was already mine then never hearing a single response back...To me this shows poor communication skills, disregard for potential employees and a complete lack of respect.
