Recruiter contacted me, we went over my resume and then set up a phone interview. After my phone interview I was selected to do a video interview with 2 district managers a couple of days later. One day later I was sent an email saying that I wouldn't be a good fit for the position. In my interview I was told the position was open for over a year. (huge red flag)

The interview process focused heavily on relationship-building, data-driven decision-making, and examples of working cross-functionally. Behavioral questions were all STAR-based, and they wanted strong proof of territory ownership, strategic planning, and creative problem-solving.

STAR format was used for interview. To keep things simple for them and for you, I would consider responding with, "The situation was... The task was...", etc. The interviewers had to take notes and it's way easier for them to do so if you tell them what each letter of the acronym applied vs them having to take in all that you said and make it fit onto their notes.

Considered application with no sales experience coming out of college, positive interview process and good description of role expectations. Unforutantely, I was limited on where I could relocate at the time.
