Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Hoboken Girl em abr. de 2022

The application was extensive, but fine at first. The editor in chief asks you to complete a survey prior to the interview. (It's not short, like they said, but fine). She also didn't seem to remember much about my resume or my responses to the survey questions (asked me the same survey questions in the interview). Then, the edit test was absolutely ridiculous. There was just no reason for it to be so extensive. I understand wanting to thoroughly test an editor's skills, but to have applicants do effectively the same tasks over and over (editing a roundup article for example...so editing each section of a very lengthy article the same exact way. Or having you explain each and every decision - "why did you write it this way?") is a waste of time for both parties. It was a never ending edit test! We have jobs, and at that point you should pay applicants for completing those edit tests. Absurd. In the future, be mindful of what you are asking your applicants to do and value their time. You haven't hired them, so you can't expect them to devote that much time to you.
