The first stage interview was in person, which I didn’t appreciate, but as the hiring manager said they would be on the interview panel I agreed, but unfortunately the hiring manager was not able to attend. This meant that I had taken a day of my annual leave for the interview, and it was a bit disappointing not to have the opportunity to meet with them when this could have been done via teams.
Additionally, I felt that the feedback I received was not entirely accurate. It was mentioned that I could have been more creative in campaigning for the position, but the questions asked during the interview did not necessarily bring out this aspect of my experience.
