Pretty smooth and straightforward. Applied through referall. Got call for recruiter screen within 48 hrs. Next round was video interview with hiring manager. 2 weeks was the timeframe for the answer. Unfortunately position was put on hold. Hr personally took the time to call and inform me about the situation

Most terrible hiring process I’ve ever experienced. Applied in May, went through four months of interviews with two extra rounds added after what was supposed to be the final. Finally got an offer, only to have it rescinded three weeks later. The reason: HR said the team questioned my “transparency and proactive communication”, because I seek approval proactively—right after receiving the offer—if I could work remotely for two weeks while completing a medical procedure abroad. The irony is that while I was open and raised the question, the hiring team never once communicated their concerns to me directly before or after rescinding the offer. The lack of communication and professionalism, as well as the lack of “transparency and proactive communication,” as they put it, throughout was deeply disappointing.
