I received a phone call and the Department head went over what he was looking for in a candidate. After chatting for 20 min he set an interview time at the company headquarters in Orange,CA. I arrived for the interview and filled out an application. After completing that I then had a sit down interview with the department head. It was nice because we were able to do it outside. The department head was very relaxed and the over all environment of the company seemed very professional but relaxed. He asked me some easy IT questions relating to file types, network testing, hardware testing, and SQL. The interview lasted 45 min. After the interview I followed up and was told that they hadn't made a decision yet. A week after that I followed up again, and the next day I received an email letting me know that while I was in the top 3 candidates I was not selected for the position. While I didn't get the job I do appreciate the feedback.
