It was a friendly process speaking with the first two people—an HR rep and then the person who would manage you. The hiring decision-maker told me I was a very strong candidate, a near-perfect fit. After this, I spoke to three other people in a panel interview, which was mixed. The SEO specialist loved my background and attitude. The two others the person in the role would work with had some tough questions. First, their personalities felt not authentic to me. They aggressively went through the social media channels I managed and asked why I posted this and its effectiveness. They pointed out one post that they didn't believe looked effective on IG. However, after I happened to run my company's analytics report the next week, it had the highest engagement of any post for 2022 so far! This is a reminder that you need to judge a social post by its analytics. This reveals not the best judgment on their end to me.
Anyway, about a week later, I got a generic email saying I was selected, and I asked for feedback, only to be ghosted. I can't believe I spent my time interviewing with this company and got nothing from it. The job went up again a few days later, which speaks volumes about this organization. If you want to do better next time, offer feedback and be honest with candidates. It is exhausting looking for a career move, and you shouldn't treat people who interview multiple people like this.

The process was rather long (almost 5 weeks), but I really enjoyed talking with everyone on the Housecall team and felt very comfortable throughout. I especially appreciated the recruiter, Taylor, who was a delight to speak with and helped make the interview process very smooth.
Here was the steps that I went through:
1st Round - Phone Screen w/Recruiter
2nd Round - Interview w/ Hiring Manager
3rd Round - Panel Interview w/ Two Team Members
4th Round - Interview w/ Director of Web Optimization
5th Round - Panel Interview w/ SVPs of Growth and Marketing
6th Round - Interview w/CEO (didn't end up having to do this one)
I made it to the final round, but ultimately was not selected. However, I would still recommend Housecall solely based on the culture that was readily apparent with everyone I spoke to. Best of luck!
