I was referred by an employee for this role as Hubpost is actively looking at growing their french team (consider me almost as a passive candidate as I’m happy in my current position but keen on learning more as it looked like a good career move).
The process was supposed to be 3 - 4 weeks with 4 interviews :screening, hiring manager, roleplay, face to face. Screening was your first typical call with the recruiter, nothing special to mention. On the second call, the hiring manager didn't seem ready at all for the interview. He asked the same questions multiple times (not that I didn't have any answers (I used the STAR method to answer, as you do), just felt like a general lack of questions to ask from his end), did not sell the job and did not let me ask any questions at the end of the call (very poor candidate experience).
I was scheduled to have a role-play call with the same hiring manager and after a few mistakes in scheduled appointments (especially one no show from the same hiring manager for the role-play: I had taken the afternoon off work for this specific interview, not great!) I lost interest in the role and didn’t feel like working with this manager. I had 2 interviews in almost 2 months and the process was supposed to take 3-4 weeks maximum. I decided to stop the process.
