      Entrevista

      There was a written assessment and then I was contacted for a phone screening. My recruiter missed our scheduled phone call and simply sent an email later in the day saying they were "sorry" for the misconnection. We rescheduled for later in the week. On our rescheduled appointment they called me 10 minutes late with no apology or acknowledgement. The remaining 20 minutes of our time felt super rushed and one sided. We experience some connection issues while the interviewer was talking and I asked them to repeat what they had said, but they ignored me. I am used to being able to connect with the interviewer and even kind of look forward to interviews as a chance to have a good conversation with someone, so this experience felt super off-putting to me I got an automated notice a couple days later that I would not be moving on to the next round. I fully accept that there may have been other candidate more qualified than me that had also applied to this position, but I honestly felt like my application was mismanaged. I prepared a lot for this interview so I felt slighted that my interview wouldn't even acknowledge their tardiness or give an explanation for missing our first scheduled interview. I don't think my experience is indicative of the application process for most people, nor do I think it should cast a negative light on HubSpot as a company, but it was a negative experience for me and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

      Three rounds: -Screening with recruiter -Technical (live troubleshooting with a manager) -Behavioral (3-30 minute interviews with managers) The recruiter offers prep sessions before the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Take advantage of them as they’ll explicitly walk you through how to prepare.
