      Three step interview process. My recruiter was very nice & explained the process by the end of the initial phone interview. The phone interview was engaging & professional. I was informed there would be a second & third interview where I would be given access to their demo & gave me very specific tasks in which I would explain my work & logic throughout the interview. I was then scheduled with a team lead for second interview. unfortunately I did not get a very good impression from the get go. I believe sometimes the interviewer forgets that in a way, the interviewee is also interviewing the company & the people that represent it as well. The team lead was very impersonal & felt like they did not want to be there, not only that but also a bit condescending with their comments, also expecting me to have memorized parts of the demo for tasks I was not assigned in the first place. This is not my first technical/remote interview & was mostly attracted to their culture & amazing product, yet it was disheartening to learn that not everyone there stands behind their core values.

      Hi there, I'm so sorry that your interview left a bad taste, and you're absolutely right that an interviewer is as critical as a recruiter is in the process and in communicating and embodying the culture. I'm going to take this feedback to the team so that we can use this as a learning opportunity for how an interviewer should show up in the process.       It is a 5 step interview process, with the 1st one being a phone screening, then a video call/interactive assignment, and then finally three 30 minute back to back interviews for the 3rd and final round.
