This interview has absolutely spoiled me for any other interviews I may have in my life because it was such a good experience. And honestly I’d say that even if I hadn’t gotten the job. The recruiter reached out first and we had an initial phone screening. She was very helpful and gave me a good idea of what to expect for future interviews and what I could do to succeed at them. Next interview was with the hiring manager who was also incredibly nice and helpful. Then a “take home test” (not the infamous coding test since this isn’t a coding role) and finally a meeting with some of the other people on the team. What impressed me the most was how ....kind everybody was for lack of a better word. I was incredibly ill during the time I had to do the take home test and the manager was very understanding and offered to give me more time to complete it. The team members were clearly enthused about their jobs and not in that sort of “please come work here” facade you sometimes see in an interview process. And I really can’t say enough good things about that recruiter because she really hit it out of the park as far as communication.
