Entrevista
The recruiter reached out and went over the job duties and expectations and then we schedule a first interview with the hiring manager.
The interview with the Hiring Manager was great. They were able to give an overview of what they are working on and what their future plans are for the team. They were very respectful and eager to listen to ideas from my side. This interview was a good experience.
The recruiter then schedule two more interviews - one technical and another with Manager's boss. The Manager's boss was again wonderful to talk to and it was a good interview.
The technical interview experience was not great and in fact one of the worst I ever had to take. It was supposed to be a panel of three engineers but one engineer didn't join at all. One of the engineer didn't ask many questions but he was respectful and asked questions in detail. Comes the third interview who was mostly driving this interview -- the most unprofessional interviewer I have interviewed with ego the size of Everest. He asked questions but didn't have the patience to listen to what I had to say. He just kept on interrupting and took an offense when I asked him a question. The interview was scheduled for an hour but ended in 35 mins. They just weren't interested in interviewing. I've had conversations with engineers who built clusters of more than a few thousand nodes but were wonderful to talk to and very respectful. It was just a waste of my time and I felt terrible after this interview. I have attended really tough interviews by FAANG companies but never had such a terrible experience.
After the interview, I just didn't even bother to follow up as I'm not interested in working with that person on that team on a daily basis.
