I applied online, a recruiter reached out to me to schedule a phone screen. I provided times and then didn't hear back from them. I followed up 5 days later and they sent me a calendar invite for a time that wasn't one of the ones I provided but I was free at that time so it was fine. The recruiter was almost 45 minutes later to the interview. Their tone on the phone let me know they forgot what time they scheduled the phone call for and thought they were only a few minutes late. They also didn't apologize. They immediately asked me if I knew how to use a software that is not listed as a job requirement in the job description anywhere. They said okay well that's necessary and we ended that call, lasted less than 5 minutes. I think this is thee most unprofessional interview experiences I've ever had. Companies need to remember we're also interviewing them, it works both ways. Truly shocking how poor of an impression they made.
