First, the application process required responses to a handful of short-answer questions, as well as a cover letter and a resume. It also asked about undergraduate GPA and SAT/ACT scores.
After submitting this, I was asked to complete a longer questionnaire that included six short answer questions about location/compensation/etc., another prompt for GPA and SAT/ACT scores, four longer responses, and a 200 word writing sample.
The interview process consisted of three stages. The first was virtual, with an employee at an affiliate organization. The second was in person. The third was virtual, with an organization VP. During the third interview, I was asked to provide a response to a series of 15-20 questions framed simply as "option A or option B," relating to subjects that include ethical dilemmas, campaign management, and political maneuvering. Because I was instructed to respond simply by stating which option I would choose, and not to explain my rationale for that decision, I presume that this segment is not intended to assess candidates' thought processes, but to instead evaluate existing viewpoints on contentious issues.
