      Entrevista

      I applied for the Housing M&E Specialist role and initially had a positive experience. I heard back within days and had a first interview with the COO, who was complimentary about my qualifications and mentioned they’d been searching for over a year to fill this role. Immediately after, I was asked to complete two technical assignments within a week, each requiring several hours of work. Given the positive feedback and urgency they conveyed, I invested significant time completing both assignments thoroughly. After submission, I received no communication and was ghosted completely. After a week and a half of silence (despite their initial quick turnaround) I followed up and received only an automated rejection email. No personalized response, no feedback on the assignments I’d spent hours preparing. What concerned me most was the contrast between their urgency with candidates and complete lack of basic professional courtesy afterward. After requiring substantial unpaid work, candidates deserve at minimum a personalized response. This experience gave me insight into why this position may have remained unfilled for over a year. I’d caution other applicants to carefully consider the time investment requested during their process, as the company’s treatment of candidates’ time and effort may not align with their stated values.
