The process was pretty straightforward, 1 round with the HM and then the other with the Director. They offered me the role after that. They didn't have a real HR team and the Founder's wife handled HR at the time I interviewed. I rejected the offer because it had a bunch of red flags. 1. They wanted you agree to work overtime and on the weekends (Stay on call) in the offer, without OT pay or bonus component in the role. 2. They mandated a specific setup for your home office without providing any WFH allowance to set it up. 4. Wanted me to agree to a 4 week notice period, which is double the usual 2 weeks. 3. THE BIGGEST ONE. They had a clause which stated they could unilaterally put me on an unpaid suspension, if deemed necessary, based on any number of factors, including performance, pending disciplinary actions, etc. and that this could not be construed as building up to fire. I was also expected to agree to not ever bring a lawsuit against the company in terms of employee treatment. All in all big red flags in the offer, which when I asked to address, was told it won't happen.
