Straightforward interview process, all done remotely due to COVID-19. I had a brief phone screen with an HR rep who informed me that only the Defence division of the company was still making offers due to the pandemic, which was fine. I was then asked to do a Hackerrank test, which was 1 medium and 1 hard task in 1 hour. I fully completed the medium test but not the hard, which was enough to get me through. I was then asked to do a 1-on-1 code pair interview with a developer, where he gave me a fairly straightforward task to complete in Java for 1 hour. I'm not a huge fan of these interviews as I always feel quite tense having a stranger watching me as I work, although the interviewer was very professional and did his best to put me at ease. Nevertheless I failed at this point as I didn't get a working solution in time and presumably others did. In hindsight I should have asked for Python as it's quicker to write, and I think this was an option although I'm not sure. It seems like an interesting company and I would have liked to go further in the process, but I'm not sure how well they will fare in the future as I think the only profitable part of the business is the defence division.

Specifically was Msquared, I just want to say, everyone was really nice and was fun to talk to, so give it a shot. Unfortunately failed the last round, but perhaps will have a chance in the future. It’s been a while, but there was definitely a Behavioral interview, some Technical interviews, and an interview with the CEO. The behavioral and chat with CEO felt like a casual conversation, they tell u about them, you tell them about you. Was one of the best experience I had.
