Weird and awkward. The process was very confusing. They claim their bar is very high and they care about candidate and also really want diverse candidates. They did not demonstrate any proof of any of that. In fact, I came away thinking the culture is bordering on encouraging lying based on the questions and the instructions I received. Nobody laid out the process and what to expect, probably because it doesn't exist and it seemed very disorganized and went on and on. Maybe they didn't have anything for me or the position closed but they need to communicate better. Overall it was a waste of time. The possible decision-maker, a more senior person, seemed to play mind games. Maybe they are too clever for their own good and are trying to find out the right "culture fit" but not in a good or professional way. I am just going to leave it at that. They kept saying they want diverse candidates and while I am not, I don't think they have enough sensitivity or tact to create inclusion. I am glad I didn't get an offer as I wouldn't want to work there.
