This is for the Writing and Video Fellowship for IJR’s Dearly website. The fellowship position is simply cater to an audience of families, parenting, prospective parents and children. No real news or real journalism here. The company told me that this is just a writing (not real actual news) position. The company then gave me a writing test consisting of pitching three story ideas with real news sources, coming up with three lead headlines per story article, and writing an article using associated press stylebook. The company does not offer feedback to candidates that were not given a fellowship position. This position is not for broadcast journalism candidates at all!
