11 rounds including a last one with HR and partner. Case study which they kept for their own reference. Too many rounds just because. Very unstructured and unprofessional. I think they forgot how long I had been in the process and many of the interviewers had no notes of the previous rounds.

Multiple stages (5 plus) not terribly well structured. On the last round had interviews with multiple fellow directors from different departments, a partner and HR to agree the contract. I had to make availability at every stage with little consideration from Infrared (at this level we are all senior and busy). After i passed all interviews with flying colours and i thought we had all agreed just had 10 minutes to meet the partner. He clearly wasn't prepared, had not read my CV and had not even looked at the feedback from his colleagues, he was totally disengaged and abysmally rude. Turns out they couldn't afford me (i earn market rate but apparently they pay 40 to 50% below market and hire frequently non financial people from corporates which means they have severe finance skill gaps ). Since my wage rate was made clear throughout the interview (and justified) it seemed they wanted some free consultancy through the case studies and market data. Basically time wasters.
