Horrible process. Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn, I responded quickly and she called me right away for quick screening questions. She was super nice about it. She said her account manager will contact me in an hour. Even though it was last minute, I agreed to a quick 15 mins video call which was nothing but a humiliation ritual. She expected the world from me, but couldn't find even talk about the team and what they were looking for without reading the job description from another screen word to word. The job description mentioned Informatica and Azure, both of which I have used together and separately. But she just was not convinced of my ability simply because I had not used Informatica in a few months as if all the information were to drain my head. She condescendingly asked why we do not use Informatica at our current project (lot of licensing cost? Can't just spin it up without disruption to existing services? Like what?) When I explained I had worked with to develop with Azure services and without Azure in the past, she straight up did not believe me. I had already told the recruiter I was open to relocation. But the account management decided for me that I will not move. So to summarize in 15 mins call, she had already decided I was not a good fit based on information already available to them ahead of time, but still wanted me to get on a call only to say the same and then have the recruiter ghost you. Don't waste your time unless you check every single one of their weird boxes like location, every single tool and technology in the combination that they want etc.
