Entrevista
I was headhunted for a senior level role - the opportunity sounded interesting so while I was not looking for a new role, I agreed to an interview to learn more. It was unclear who was the hiring leader and there were other individuals included in the interview but that was not communicated with me in advance. I showed up not knowing who the other individuals were and what their role was in the process. In my experience, this should have been communicated in advance. There was no follow up after the interview - in that meeting they indicated if I was shortlisted, I would go on to another interview stage. I reached out to close the loop approximately 4 weeks later. At that point it was clear to me they had pursued other candidates through that shortlisting process, which was fine, however letting me know that in a timely manner is a basic courtesy and a standard recruitment practice. The person indicated they would find out the status of the search; I never heard back until another 4 weeks had passed (at that point in time it was 2 months post interview). That reach out was asking to schedule a 'post interview feedback' meeting. Overall a very poor candidate experience. The management of the process and the lack of communication was disappointing. I'm not sure why the organization would assume I would take time out of my day/work to have a call to get 'feedback' on the interview process two months later, when they didn't have respect for me as a candidate to close the loop in a timely manner.
