My friend gave my CV to the hiring manager which he contacted me for a phone interview. The phone interview was short and focused on my immigration status and my goals. At the end of the interview I was asked to come for an on-site interview. The onsite interview was very informal. I met one group leader in the morning who explained the position to me. After that I gave my research presentation followed by lunch. After lunch, I had two other interviews with two other group leaders. They didn't ask much, their questions were very simple and they expected me to do the asking. Finally I met with the area manager for 15 min. Within 10 days, I got an email from the hiring manager informing me that they will not offer me the position.
