It will begin with the usual question- 'describe about yourself'. It will be followed with few more general questions like 'why you left your previous company' etc. Then you will be asked to give a written test. Obviously, a content writer's skills should be checked.But what will surprise you is the length of the question paper. Ghostly!. You will see that there are 10 questions and each question has five sub-questions. You are required to answer at least 7 questions in 300 or 200 words. All together there are around 50 questions to be answered. Then while answering questions you will recall the suggestive words of HR, that 'since we are an ad agency so we are looking for quirky, something different kind of write ups'. You will try to use more creativity and put more energy to meet up with their expectations. You will find that even after spending more than 3 hours the question paper is not yet complete. Obviously you will get exhausted and stressed. At the end you will feel like you have taken your PG final exams. Horrible! really. Usually ad agencies ask you to write one or two ad copies (in characters) plus one 300 words write up, that's enough as sample of your linguistic capabilities, creativity and imagination. Usually the content writers interviews here turns out to be negative. On email they will inform you that 'we find lots of grammatical errors in your test paper'.
