Met with manager and other floor staff who asked a variety of questions pertaining to experiences that I had had and how I handled different situations to solve problems. Always come prepared with past situations you have experienced in order to answer these type of questions.

I met with manager of ICU and IMC via video for my interview. The questions were very vague 'get to know you and your experience' versus actual interview questions and character/integrity assessments, or why I chose St. Joseph's. She was the only interviewer. I had a couple years of MICU experience at the time. I flew out to Denver to shadow in the MICU, where I was paired with a nurse that had a very busy assignment. She kept making comments to me about how it would have been more helpful to have the nurse she was orienting there versus me. I attempted to help her when I could, but I was not an employee, so there wasn't much I could do. I shadowed for about 4 hours, but I had a flight out that evening to my hometown, so I did not want to stay super late and risk missing the flight. I met with the manager before leaving, who told me someone would be in touch within a week. A week went by when after I shadowed, and I had not heard anything. I reached out to the recruiter and was met with an email that said my recruiter for the position had actually left the job she was in, and a new recruiter was taking over. I emailed the new recruiter inquiring about the status of the job. After two unanswered emails, she finally got back to me and told me they were going in a different direction. I reached out to the manager to ask what I could have done differently and for some constructive criticism. A week went by and no response. I emailed her again, and was met with no response. I would not have written this review if HR had taken the time to tell me my recruiter had changed, call and tell me I didn't get the job, and if the manager had emailed me back. Their lack of communication and response was pretty unprofessional. I think you should take the time to calls someone and tell them they did not get the job. Pretty cowardly. I took another job in an ICU at another hospital, where the manager and HR have been extremely responsive. I am glad I wasn't hired there, because I can't imagine how they treat their employees if they can't be bothered to respond to potential hires.

They asked relevant questions and gave me clear information about the job I applied for. They also gave me a tour of the unit and showed me around the facility and the staff.
