It took one full day. Took part in various group challanges , public speaking and one to one interview. Mainly looking for how you interact with people and if you adapt.

Firstly I will start by saying: do not be nervous, the ICS interview process is to make you feel comfortable, understand the project better and to work in your favour. The day started with a presentation about ICS, the project and then an ice breaker task. All 10 of us were spilt into two teams and told to plan a tall giraffe with the materials provided. The task took stages and at one point we were told to only use one hand- this task was to gage how we work in a team, if we can acknowledge other ideas and motivate our team members. Next we were broke down into smaller groups of 2/3 to discussion scenarios/issues we may face when abroad in ICS, following a larger group discussion about said topics. Finally it we had a presentation about fundraising and then our 1-1 interviews. The interviews were scored on 6 topics such as adapatability, self assurance and so on. Just be honest when answering questions and come up with specific examples using STAR to answer the competency based questions- you will be fine! The whole ICS process is non-competitive and is to see whether you are ready to go a placement. As long as you are confident, passionate and smiling you’ll fit right in. The assesors want to give you as many points as you do! Just have fun and enjoy the process, lunch and travel arrangements are covered!
