There was the application submission through the online portal, then an initial interview with a DC-based officer, followed by a writing sample submission. After those were deemed adequate for the position by the hiring manager in the country of the job, then there was a lengthy technical assessment. If you pass that, then there is a second interview with the hiring manager. After that, the hiring manager forwards her final assessment to the Deputy Director of Programs of the candidates and a final interview is conducted.
