I applied to this position and was contacted by a recruiter almost immediately. She set up an initial call with the hiring manager who shared their expectations about the role and qualifications so it appeared as though we were on the same page. The recruiter then set up a panel interview but gave little to no direction about how it was going to go. While preparing blindly for this interview, I emailed the recruiter requesting a follow up call to help answer some questions for the interview. This email went unanswered. On the day of the interview, the recruiter asked me if I had prepared a presentation for the panel. This came as a complete shock to me, as I was never told I needed to prepare anything for a presentation. As the interview continued, it became abundantly clear that the entire team was completely disorganized, as they were all on totally different wave lengths when it came to the role I was being interviewed for. I was being asked ridiculous questions about my experience level which would have been obvious if the team had discussed my resume and interview strategy ahead of time. So, not only was it a complete waste of everyone's time, but it was also incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. This did, however, give me a great glimpse into how the team operates and communicates. To say the least, they also failed to meet my expectations.
