A complete waste of everyone's time. I felt like everyone who worked for this tiny organization interviewed me. In total I interviewed with 8 people. Everything went well until the "final round," when the CEO and CFO obviously were not impressed. They doubted my experience for the entire interview, as if there are people who have years of municipal law experience, who happen to live in Newark, who have big law experience, who check every single box, will want to work for this sorry organization.
Immediately after my last round of scheduled interview, I saw the opening being re-posted on Linkedin. Needless to say they did not even bother to provide an update and I was so turned off by this unprofessional display, I did not bother to follow up with them.
If the CEO and CFO are the true decision makers who will not respect the judgment and input from the HR and other fellow employees, then don't schedule all these interviews and waste everyone's time. As an attorney taking time off from work to treat the interviews seriously, I rather have my resume tossed directly into the shredder, than participate in this tomfoolery when it's clear that the CEO was never on board in the first place.
