Contacted by recruiter from London and arranged a phone interview with hiring manager
After that was called for onsite interview to Shannon - Honestly, the journey to the office killed all the excitement I had about working for JLR and autonomous vehicles
I was interviewed by absurd bunch of idiots who were more interested in how agile works than how compiler works. One of the junior lad ask me question about python memory manager and then was laughing about something on his phone. Wtf!!?
Second round was with the guy who took my phone interview who was supposed to be my interviewer - Long story short, 4 hours of bus journey in the drain.
They did not offer even for lunch so do not ask about travel expenses. When I asked about what kind off work is going on on iPace (jlr's latest Tesla killer!), they just laughed also indicating that they mostly work on existing ota updates for discoveries and land rovers owned by Arabs. All and all worst Interview experience in Ireland.
On top of it, even after promising feedback, recruiter never replied to my emails about the feedback.
I think it's true that the rejection just another step towards success. Otherwise I would have been commuting 2 hours everyday from Limerick or living in Shannon (which does not even classify as town)
