Had the worst interview experience at Joola India
The technical interview was good for mobile application developer. Questions were basic only like diff between Expanded and flexible widget. Which state management to prefer in which senario
The pay conversation with Director got off to a positive start.
I informed him that since I was seeking for a long-term commitment, I was expecting an increase of 35–40%. He began by saying that some people give discounts to those who are seeking long-term commitment. He said he would only give me a 6% rise and asked me to join within the next two-three days, no matter what even though I previously informed them of my notice period.
I questioned him if it was negotiable after he gave me the statistics (he sat and calculated the entire breakdown). He became irate and said he wasn't here to bargain and that he couldn't access my skills in only two interviews (every employer makes an offer based on that exclusively). He also kept on telling me that I shouldn't teach him about interviews as he has 40+ years of experience. He stated he would not provide me with an offer letter or official confirmation of my job and asked me to consider it and get back to me within a maximum of one hour.
When I informed him that every company needed to give a confirmation afterwards, he started accusing me of trying to take their offer and utilise it to negotiate somewhere else. In addition, he accused me of not believing in the company, even though a director of the company is asking to resign from my current organisation without having confirmation. I was only interviewing with them because I liked what they were building, even though I already had a better offer, which I had disclosed to them in advance. As a result, I would not have found any use for the 6% offer they were providing.
He kept making fun of me for already having a high salary and urging me not to teach market standards because he has much more experience than me in the middle of our chat.
Just because I am starting my career n he have 40+ yoe doesn't mean he can be so rude say whatever he wishes.
