I started out as a contractor and then after 6 months I applied to be a full-time employee. The position I applied for was my same job, only full time instead of contract.
It took my boss 2 full months to get back to me. And he didn't even get back to me... HR did.
Getting hired on as a contractor I was initially told "no" and a month later my contracting firm said... "well, yes, ok."
Both hiring experiences were wishywashy and uncertain for a while.

there were three rounds
1st was technical, based on resume projects, past internships
2nd was techno managerial, based on your resume, and bit of finanance terms.
and the third round was HR round.

5 rounds of behavior, all 30 minutes with standard questions like tell me who you are and why this role. there are some technicals but not strictly enforced i think
