Applied for the Licensed Personal Banker (PB) position on April 7th via JPMorgan Chase career site. Since I applied for the position prior, I had already taken (and passed) the pre-employment eligibility test to determine if you could successfully pass licensing.
Within 2 weeks I was contacted by a branch manager to come in for an interview for the PB position. The interview consisted of a 1:1 and probed my abilities to sell and to provide excellent customer service. After the hour or so interview, the manager told me she had roughly 30 other applicants to interview in the next week and she would get back to me either way.
On May 3rd she contacted me and said I had been selected to proceed in the interview process and was to meet with the district manager on May 7th (Friday). This interview consisted of a more conversational approach to judge you personable skills as well as selling ability too. The last part of the interview the branch manager joined as the now 2:1 interview turned into a mock role playing. Me (PB) selling to the branch manager (client). I then was told that they had 4 more people to interview and would get back to me the following week.
On May 10th I was called by a HR representative and informed that I had been selected and was offered a position.

The interview process was fairly simple. Interviewed with the Branch Manager, a second Branch Manager in training, and the Marketing Director. I was told there is usually a second interview with the Marketing Director solely, but they decided to join last minute. The interview lasted a little over an hour. Education and work experience was discussed with a strong emphasis on sales. I was offered the position on the spot. Later that day I was contacted by HR with the official offer letter that showed a pay rate much less than what was discussed. I decided to sign it and began filling out employment forms. Took a drug test and finger prints the next day. The next week I was contacted from a member of the pre employment team requesting documentation and letters of explanation for items that were on my credit report from 2009. I was unable to provide one of the requested documents in a timely manner, so the offer was rescinded three weeks later. The whole process was a complete waste of time, energy, and not worth nearly a $2 pay cut. Had I not had a good relationship with my current employer, I'd be unemployed.
