Candidatei-me online. O processo levou mais de 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela Jane Street em fev. de 2013
Entrevista
After applying online for a researcher/programmer position in London, they arranged a phone interview with someone in New York. The guy I talked to was very friendly. After a short chat, he got right into probabilistic brain-teasers for over an hour. Even though I answered most of the questions, I think they are looking for people who can find the tricks in these questions on the spot. Just a day or two later, I received a generic rejection email.

All of the questions were in some sense probability related of the "you have a deck of cards, what's the probability to get four kings" type, but always a bit twisted. They kept asking me for an exact percentage of my confidence in my answer, which I found very hard.
The process began with serveral online tests for maths and logic. They gave a personal interview to get to know the candidate better and evaluate fit for the company/role, then held a technical interview covering maths and logic problems.
Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Jane Street (Hong Kong).
Entrevista
Fun and filled with unexpected questions. The questions rely on fast thinking and fast calculations, and sometimes intuition because there is no sufficient time for me to work through the whole problem.
We started with a bit of small talk, followed by some probability questions. Ended with some basic algebra questions, Make sure to ask questions if you have any. Good experience, feels like the interviewer was trading.
