O processo levou 1 dia. Fui entrevistado pela Jane Street em fev. de 2011
Entrevista
The 30 min interview consisted almost completely of mental math/probability questions. I did horribly, but the interviewer was very nice and told me to apply again in subsequent years. A lot of the questions were not terribly difficult, but I would need a piece of paper, so getting a wrong answer repeatedly was rather discouraging. Also, if I didn't know how to do a problem on the spot, the interviewer didn't move on; he just let me work it out until it was very, very obvious how wrong I was.
Two or three probability/statistics brain teasers/problems that you have to solve. Topics include Markov Chains, EV, decision/game theory, branching processes, gambler's ruin, best decisions, optimisation. Interview with an actual quant.
Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Jane Street.

Pergunta 1
Design an algorithm for when to replace a car at a car rental company
Was asked a general mathematical problem solving question - no personal details or anything else was discussed, was overall relatively easy and I imagine a fair amount of support would be offered if struggling.
