Entrevista
Sat before a 3 person panel and asked several questions and finally asked to demonstrate teaching animal words to the judges as if they were children. There was a whiteboard to use to write on and pretend to teach a lesson.

Application process is intense so start early. Pay special attention to the Letters of Recommendation. Interviews are in late-winter and are pretty rigorous so be prepared to answer anything that vaguely relates to your application and keep in mind that they're primarily testing your ability to represent the program well in Japan (one of my questions was on a book I had read in a Lit class, pretty sure they were checking more to see if I could answer diplomatically than my true opinion on the character). Be prepared and stay relaxed. Also, if you mentioned any previous teaching/Japanese experience they will focus on that extensively.

In Japanese: Why did you choose (the placement I selected on the application)?
Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 1 dia. Fui entrevistado pela Japanese Ministry of Education (thru JET Program) (Londres, Inglaterra) em fev. de 2013
Entrevista
Starts with a five-minute, single-page grammatical and vocabulary test. I was then interviewed by a panel of three. I was asked for some personal background information, before being asked some general knowledge questions about Japan. Questions then moved on to what I would bring to English lessons in Japan and how I would spend my time productively during the school holidays. I was also asked about my future career plans.
