I recently interviewed with the Jensten Group for a marketing role and, while the interview process initially seemed promising, the experience ended in poor communication and frustration.
The first interview was positive, with good rapport and meaningful discussion. I was then invited to a second stage interview, where I delivered a detailed presentation outlining a new product launch strategy. Despite some technical issues with MS Teams (which I explained during the call), the conversation still felt productive and thorough.
I was informed there were a few other candidates at the same stage, and that I would hear back within a week. Unfortunately, I never received any response—not even a rejection. I followed up several times with their internal HR team, but received no acknowledgement or update whatsoever.
It’s incredibly disheartening to be treated this way after investing significant time and effort. At the very least, a basic level of professional courtesy and communication should be expected.
Verdict: If you’re considering applying, be aware that strong interviews do not guarantee clear or respectful communication. Disappointing and unprofessional ending to an otherwise solid process.
