I applied for a job at the JJ's in my town during March. Randomly at the end of May I got a phone call on a Monday night asking if I was still interested, and if I'd be able to interview the next morning. I gladly accepted and was feeling pretty hopeful about the whole thing. When I showed up the next morning, the manager who interviewed me was very rushed and rude from the start. My interview started at 10:45 am and ended at 10:48 am. It was a huge waste of my time. He sat me down, told me I was one of 20 he was interviewing in the next two days, that he wanted to put me at a store 30 min away (my application was for the one in my town...), and that he wanted me to deliver. He rudely told me I would have to take out my nose ring (I already knew this) because they are "super strict". The only questions he asked me were 1. Was I in school? (My application stated that I am) 2. Would I want to work nights or days? and 3. Was I willing to deliver. When I told him I was willing to but it wasn't optimal, he basically gave me a short lecture on why they need so many drivers, and that I wouldn't get a job with them if I didn't deliver. When I stated my concern involving car insurance and having to be "freaky fast", he simply stated that they don't cover you on insurance, but if you get into an accident, they rush someone else to the site of the accident to take away all your JJ's stuff...as if their lack of concern for employees and dishonesty was supposed to make me feel better.
