I found the job position on the company website and applied through Jobvite, the applicant tracking system that Jive Software uses for applicants. I was contacted the very next day with an email from a recruiter. We arranged a phone screening. He was courteous and told me more about the position. He emailed me an interview test which I completed and emailed back. I did not hear back for a week (there was a holiday weekend though) so I sent an email to check in. The recruiter called me back the next day and told me that I did very well on the submission but another applicant was a step ahead in the process and had accepted the position.

The interview test covered MVC methodology via Struts 2, database interaction with MySQL/JDBC, Java web technology like Tomcat and JSP, etc.

Entrevista
There were two phone screening sessions, the first with HR and the second with my hiring manager. Each conversation was upbeat and positive, I found that HR recruiting was very active in keeping me involved, and keeping me from moving out of the Jive focus as I was applying and interviewing with other companies at the time. My eventual hiring manager was knowledgeable and friendly in the phone call.
I was brought in for a series of interviews, three hours in total, and spoke with six individuals in total. The interviewers were all very professional and knowledgeable, and I was able to quickly communicate and interact with the team.
