Fui entrevistado pela JoVE (Cambridge, MA) em mar. de 2013

Had a very light phone screening, and was told address/time to meet for interview. I met with three "characters." They were all dressed like they were freshman in high school. I was wearing a tie, felt out of place.
Questions were as follows: Can you work independently, are you proficient with Excel, and tell me about yourself.
I googled the interviewers. What a disappointment. You would have though they would have had more experience and a better, more valued scientific background.

Several editors asked questions regarding the scope of the journal and what kind of research would be beneficial to include in each section of the journal. Was also asked about my previous research experience. Entire process seemed disorganized and ill-prepared. Many confusing questions.

This just seems to totally depend on who is working there when you apply. Almost always it is a variant of something bad. For me, the first red flag was that they accidentally scheduled four of us to interview at the same time, so it was a surprise group interview for all. Google "standard interview questions" or something like that and you will get a good idea of what you will be asked. Chances are that they might have just printed off the questions from the same site you looked at. Come in prepared and confident and looking good, etc. and your chances are good.

Most difficult aspect was the fact that it was a surprise group interview.
