The first few interviews moved smoothly. The real trouble came when it was time to make a decision. The organization asked the candidates to create a one-month campaign for an actual upcoming event. Truth be told, that was the first red flag. The second red flag was asking candidates how they would fire or let go on an individual who couldn't handle or do various tasks. I honestly did not feel comfortable, but I decided to see through the interview process. They never got back to me with their decisions, even after sending multiple emails. First, the decision was to be made on Friday, then it became Wednesday, and finally, after waiting to hear from the team, I had to email the ED to inquire if a decision had been made. I eventually removed myself from the running after reading a review on here and decided the organization was not worth the stress and headache. They couldn't even keep to their word. I had to speak my mind and tell them how unfair and cruel they have been to me and probably other candidates awaiting some feedback and decision. The ED claimed a job offer was going to be made to me by 6 pm via phone call after she acknowledged they had offered the job to another candidate. The explanation made no sense and sounded like a last minute excuse or lie to guilt me for removing myself from the running. I'm more annoyed about the work they made me do in the name of assessing my skills. I truly believed I worked for FREE. I felt scammed and bamboozled. Long story short, I'm inclined to believe the ex-researcher's review of the organization.
