Fiz uma entrevista na empresa John Varvatos (Century City, CA).
Entrevista
I received a call and schedule an interview. The manager met me after running several minutes late, then share that he was interviewing 20 people so the process is going to take a long time and then said that he is most likely going to have to hire a corporate person/senior manager’s child for the role because she wanted it. It genuinely felt like a waste of my time after he shared that. After over two weeks of no response, I called back and he said they were still going through the process of interviews and ultimately got no information after that.

Fairly straight forward. Met with HR via zoom which appeared to be taken at a cafe. I proceeded to meet with 2 members of the design team - neither of which could really articulate what the role entailed and quite honestly seemed unprepared. I was asked to do a project under a tight deadline and upon submitting was unable to present to the team. I transitioned to next stage with COO and was told I would hear back the following week. After weeks going by I reached back out to be told I wasn't moving forward.
Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela John Varvatos (New York, NY) em abr. de 2023

I was approached by a recruiter on linked in who looked at my profile. He scheduled a for the very next day for me to “learn more about the role.” He gave me little time to prepare but I wasn’t worried because it seemed informal. I had the first interview/meeting and it fine. The recruiter was polite and asked me a few questions regarding my experience. He also told me the position was hybrid. All questions were generic and the role I was learning about was entry level. After almost 7 years of working I was surprised to be approached about working in this position but didn’t write it off totally without giving it a shot. I made it through first round and got a second interview with the hiring managers. This is where things got questionable. I feel like the hiring managers didn’t even look at my resume they also told me the position was an in person role 5 days a week. I was asked some meaningful questions but other than that felt as if it were a waste of time. Just be mindful when applying!
