Candidatei-me online. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Johnson Group.
Entrevista
So I have never actually felt compelled to review an interview. But because of the poor experience I had, I thought it was important to share.
Pros:
- The team members I met with were smart, open, and genuine in conversations.
- Client portfolio seemed solid, and there was real enthusiasm at the team level.
Cons:
- After four interviews and weeks of positive feedback from everyone I spoke with, I was told I was their top candidate and that there were no hesitations about my qualifications. However, leadership wasn’t comfortable moving forward until they interviewed more people. This came after a week of silence and showed a lack of confidence in their own process and decision-making.
- What was even more surprising is that the recruiter openly admitted they hadn’t interviewed other candidates yet, which made it feel like they were hedging rather than evaluating me on my own merits. They were worried about making the wrong hire (as the first two people in this position hadn’t worked out).
- After learning they weren’t sure what they wanted to do, I asked for a final decision timeline. Instead, I was told the decision could take “two weeks to a month,” which is not reasonable after multiple interviews, so I set my own deadline for hearing back.
- Ultimately, the process felt disorganized, slow, and disrespectful of candidate time. No constructive feedback was ever provided, despite the significant investment on my end.
Advice to Management:
- If you expect candidates to give 100% during interviews, respect their time in return. Don’t drag people through four rounds only to admit you haven’t looked at others yet because of an inability to make decisions.
- Have the confidence to commit to timelines, provide feedback, and make a decision. The way you handle hiring reflects your culture, and indecision at this stage signals bigger issues down the line.
One interview with the recruiter. I was never given a fair shot. I was told to get more experience through online marketing classes even though this is an entry level role and I have 5 + years of transferable experience. I felt like my time was wasted and I would not recommend this company based on the interview process.

What experience do you have with implementing campaigns?
Candidatei-me por meio de uma faculdade ou universidade. O processo levou 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela Johnson Group (Durham, NC) em out. de 2018
Entrevista
Friendly conversation about getting to know me with mainly behavioral questions. Relatively low stress and a typical interview. The questions dealt with the information on my resume and application. The interview was not very engaging but was fairly simple.
